Michael F Rumsby has gained a reputation as one of the most exciting artists in the UK.
Born and raised in rural Suffolk, Michael forged his distinct relationship with colour at a very young age. That relationship has since manifested itself in works that bring a unique, dynamic and dramatic narrative to the canvas.
Now based in the French Dordogne, Michael’s work has taken on a vibrant and fluid hue that interprets the rich and intoxicating landscape of the region. He remains deeply influenced by the earth, the sun and the life that bridges the two.
Since 2010, Michael has had several solo exhibitions in Europe. His work currently hangs in private collections in France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
Michael is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Trustee of the Charlotte Miller Art Project. Go to www.cmap.org.uk.
